It's pretty nice, but Chaotic Swell is still in the format so sometimes this card ends up being dead after one use. Discard any SS card (Pokemon, trainer, energy), draw 2 cards. Tower of Darkness: consistency stadium.A fantastic card which you'll need to use every game, I recommend running three to four copies, and never anything less. This card shuffles two SS energy from your discard pile back into your deck. I personally run two copies, and while I never use more than one, it's nice to have them pop up more often instead of having to dig for this card when you really need it.

What doesn't kill Urshifu just makes it stronger, leaving your opponent with tough decisions to make whenever they're up against a scrolled Urshifu Vmax.

Furious Anger deals 10 damage plus 10 for each damage counter on the attached Pokemon. Single Strike Scroll of Scorn: an essential tool for this deck that adds an extra attack to all of your SS Pokemon.You'll probably only have time to play two Boss throughout the whole game, anyways. Urshifu VMax is no wuss that tries to go around attackers, he can just knock out whatever is up in the active spot.

Two copies is the bare minimum, three is alright, four is a bit too much. This deck has no draw engine besides Crobat/Dedenne, so once you've used them up you'll be relying on these two to refresh your hand.

I'd recommend playing at least 6 draw supporters.

Professor's Research/Marnie: draw support.

Never go three Balloon, this ain't Whimsicott. I play a 2-2 line, but I've also seen others play three Switch and one Air Balloon. For consistency, I'd recommend running a combination of 4 of these.

Switch/Air Balloon: pivoting/switching.

Evolution Incense can also be played here, but I prefer playing cards that improve the T1 set-up. Quick Ball is a mandatory 4-of, and you'll need to run at least 5 copies of the other two cards I've found success playing four Great Balls and three PokeComm. Expect to run heavy counts of these since this deck relies heavily on setting up your basics on T1.

Quick Ball/Great Ball/PokeComm: pokemon search.

Just be careful against Dragapult since they can potentially run Power Plant. This card removes Urshifu's psychic weakness and lets you play a little more freely in said matchups. One copy of each is fine, you can run two Dedennes but it might start popping up too often in your opening hand. All in all, an excellent 1-of for this deck. Tyranitar V is also good for fighting against single prize decks, since it can deal 120 damage with the first attack while also soft-milling your opponent's deck. Its second attack, Single Strike Crush, straight up sends Dragapult VMax to the shadow realm, while also being able to swing for up to 320 damage with four SS energies attached. its first attack, Cragalanche, can OHKO Dragapult V with three SS energies. You won't be playing this card too often, but when you do it definitely does its job.

Tyranitar V: secondary attacker/tech for Dragapult matchup.

I run two copies which seems just enough, but three copies is also a good option if you want to play it safe. That being said, you won't be using Urshifu VMax too often. It's a good attack to take down Dedenne/Crobats or most single prizers without having to dump all your energies. Beatdown is also a decent attack which usually swings for 140 or more when boosted by SS energies. It also goes through any effects like MelCario GX and Decidueye, making this attack feel pretty unstoppable. G-Max One Blow has the potential to OHKO pretty much anything (looking at you, Coalossal VMax with Buff Padding). You can get away with playing 3, but having 4 improves the consistency by a ton. Playing 4 maximizes the chances of drawing it in your opening hand, and you'll want to have at least two in play by the end of T1. I personally think Laser Focus is never worth using (which is why I don't even play basic Fighting energies). Being able to reach 220 damage is great, which allows you to OHKO most V Pokemon.
