Streaming videos can be difficult and slow with low bandwidth.

The Canvas Student App also has some display & submission glitches.

Avoid Safari, Internet Explorer, and Edge because some content will not display, and some work will not submit.

Chrome & Firefox are the most compatible.

If only a mobile device is available, try using the mobile browser in “desktop mode.”

Mobile devices have some limitations that can interfere.

If the mobile device loses Wi-Fi or Internet connection, submitted work may be lost or submitted incompletely.

The Canvas mobile app has display errors and may submit blank discussion posts, incorrect quiz questions, or empty assignment submissions.

Students should receive their student email address and password when first applying to RCCD. To review the maintenance times, sign into Canvas and click into Account -> Settings to view the maintenance schedule under the time zone on the settings page. These four-hour maintenance windows may cause intermittent issues. Regular maintenance will occur on the 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month from 12:05 am - 4:05 am PST.
